CFOx recently served as the interim Accounting Manager for a local record label and handicraft concept store. The company sells a collection of goods and music from hundreds of independent makers. Items are sold online and at the company’s stores in Oregon.
After searching for an Accounting Manager replacement without success, the company and its investors decided an interim hire was needed until a full-time hire was found. CFOx was engaged to serve as the Accounting Manager in an interim capacity. Key responsibilities included closing the monthly financials, invoicing customers, developing processes and procedures for accounting functions, performing recurring payroll runs, and updating the company’s monthly financial reporting and analysis files.
After serving in this role for a few months, the company found a full-time Accounting Manager. Our team has trained the new hire and bridged the gap until all duties were fully handed off. The successful transition was propelled by CFOx’s documentation of key accounting policies and procedures and the creation of a month-end close checklist.
