Abigail Ward Joins CFOx to Lead CFO Services Group

CFOx is pleased to announce the recent hiring of Abigail (Abby) Ward, CPA. Abby will lead the firm’s CFO Services group as Director and will have active involvement in the firm’s operations and strategy.

Abby has over 10 years of accounting and finance experience, with a wealth of knowledge in financial management and strategic planning for a variety of companies. Her experience in auditing, consulting, and internal roles includes industries such as banking and financial services, manufacturing, software, publishing, retail and industrial services. She is passionate about leveraging her skills and expertise to drive business growth and provide valuable insights that support informed decision-making.

Prior to CFOx, Abby was with Flagstar Bank ($120B total assets) and directed the FP&A team through mergers with NYCB and Signature Bank. She was primarily responsible for managing the strategic planning and budgeting process, as well as performing monthly forecasts to support earnings. She partnered directly with business leaders in Retail, Commercial and Investments to gather valuable financial metrics and insights that would lead to improved financial performance. She played an active role in several system conversions, including a large general ledger conversion. Abby worked with many private companies while at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in Assurance and supported additional clients with special accounting projects while at The Siegfried Group, with revenue ranging from $50M – $1B.

Abby attended the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan, earning a Bachelor’s in Business Administration and Master’s in Accounting. She also serves as Treasurer on the Grosse Pointe Public Library Foundation board.

Abby is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with the State of Michigan.
